How to Get On The Show


Getting Heard on THE SCENE ZINE on SIRIUS SATELLITE RADIO.

For many years, The Scene Zine has been rocking the world with the best in independent heavy metal and hard rock.

If you are an independent heavy metal or hard rock band, I would enjoy hearing your music for consideration to be included on the show.

The best and most direct method of getting your music to me is to email me a quality mp3 (128Kbps or greater) to thescenezine@gmail.com

In the email, please include a brief description of your band, where you are from, and the link to your web site or myspace profile page.

In addition, I strongly suggest that you sign up at the Podsafe Music Network. It gives you a greater chance of being heard on The Scene Zine with the added benefit of being heard on other shows and podcasts throughout the world. It’s a great thing! Check it out for yourself at http://music.podshow.com.

We cannot stress this enough.. LISTEN TO THE SHOW! Make sure your stuff will fit into the format. It will give you a much better feel as to how best to fit into the format of the show. Scroll down to the bottom of this page for The Scene Zine show player.

RECORD A “Station ID”
A great way to stay in the playlist rotation on The Scene Zine is to record a “station ID”. This is simply a recording of you saying something like “Hi this is Tony Smith from the band WATER ON THE KNEE, and you’re listening to THE SCENE ZINE”. It’s just that easy! Simply record yourself mentioning your band and The Scene Zine. You can record it into your computer and save it as an .mp3 or .wav file. Email that file to thescenezine@gmail.com. If you feel more comfortable using the telephone instead, feel free to call the studio line at 312-239-0057. Remember to use your natural voice with no background noise or vocal fx. When calling on the phone, using a land line works best. If you must call from a cell phone, please get in a nice, quiet area to place your call and record your ID. If you mess up, just keep doing take after take. Sound EXCITED! This will be played over YOUR MUSIC! Get the listener excited to hear your stuff on The Scene Zine!!
